Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team. You will operate manual lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts for our clients, including major companies like Caterpillar and General Motors. This role involves blueprint interpretation, machine setup, and quality inspection using precise measuring tools.

This role involves blueprint interpretation, machine setup, and quality inspection using precise measuring tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manual lathes and milling machines, primarily Bridgeport models, to create parts as per specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Set up and adjust machines, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout production.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers and micrometers to verify compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, performing routine machine inspections and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a manual machinist, with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read blueprints and perform precise measurements.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Must pass a 5-panel drug screen and background check.
- Proficiency in English and basic math skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with tooling and experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent teamwork skills.
