Our client is a rapidly growing, family owned Welding and Fabrication shop located in Mentor, OH. They are focused in the Heavy Equipment and Construction industries, with over 40 years of company history. Position Overview:
The Production Welder is responsible for assembling pieces of metal together using either Robotic or Hand welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding. Production welders can expect to repeat production processes to meet order volume requirements, opposed to longer projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Manual Welding tasks and Operate Robotic Welding equipment.
- Load raw material (sheet and plate steel), with assistance of overhead crane, onto equipment/fixtures
- Enter programs into controller, verify setup complete and cycle welding sequence.
- Review first part and obtain production approval by completing first piece inspection using engineering drawings
- Complete all required documentation.
Requirements:
- Ability to interpret and execute written and/or verbal job instructions
- Ability to lift 42 pounds
- Sheetmetal working background preferred, not required
- Robotic Welding or Hand Welding experience highly preferred
- Operate multiple machines or processes as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass required drug testing and background check
