Accounting Assistant
Location: Parma, OH
Salary: $20 - $22 per hour
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (600 hours) or Direct Hire
About the Role
A growing company in the trade show display industry is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support both Accounts Receivable and Payable functions. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking for long-term career growth in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile and calculate commissions for projects, coordinating with Payroll for disbursement.
- Utilize BaseCamp (project management software) and QuickBooks for financial tracking.
- Generate mid-month and end-of-month recap reports for leadership.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payables; cut checks and process credit card payments.
- Conduct project reconciliations to determine profitability.
- Assist with general office administration, including answering phones and supporting the team as needed.
Requirements
- Education & Experience: Associate’s degree, technical certificate, or 1-3 years of general accounting/bookkeeping experience (experience may substitute for a degree).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with QuickBooks, MS Office, and CRM systems preferred.
- Key Attributes: Strong math skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability.
- Work Style: Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Additional Requirements: Ability to pass a 10-panel drug test and 7-year background check.
