We are hiring a General Laborer/Packager to join a fast-paced team at a chemical manufacturing facility. This role involves packaging powders, pellets, and liquids in a hands-on environment. We are hiring a General Laborer/Packager to join a fast-paced team at a chemical manufacturing facility. This role involves packaging powders, pellets, and liquids in a hands-on environment. If you’re dependable, hardworking, and open to learning and growing within a manufacturing setting, this is a great opportunity to start a career.
Responsibilities:
- Fill and package materials (powders, pellets, liquids) following specific work instructions.
- Make boxes, print and apply labels, and weigh and seal finished products.
- Handle materials weighing from 5 to 55 lbs throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and meet daily quotas.
Requirements:
- Must be willing to work in a dusty, odorous, and noisy environment.
- Able to stand for extended periods (10-hour shifts) and perform physical tasks (stooping, kneeling, reaching, etc.).
- Prior general labor or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Dependable transportation and strong attendance history required.
- Must complete a Wonderlic assessment prior to starting.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay: $16 per hour
- Temp-to-hire position
