Utility Worker – Aerospace Manufacturing (Wickliffe, OH)
Position Overview:
A leading manufacturer in the aerospace and gas turbine engine industry is seeking a Dip Utility Worker to join our team. This contract-to-hire position offers competitive pay, shift premiums, and opportunities for advancement. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set mold lines for robotic dipping.
- Enter production data into ERP systems.
- Maintain and transfer scrap from slurry mixes and etch tanks.
- Clean and maintain rotary and Shell O Matic sanders.
- Perform sandblasting as part of the dipping process.
- Notify process control teams of production issues.
- Verify incoming orders and assist in product mixing.
- Maintain equipment logs and workspace cleanliness.
- Train to relieve robot operators and foundry workers for breaks and vacations.
- Potential for tow motor licensing.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 months of stable manufacturing/industrial experience.
- Ability to work in a hot, dry environment and confined spaces.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Willingness to work overtime, including 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule (every other weekend required).
- U.S. Citizen with birth certificate or passport and HS diploma required on the first day (no exceptions).
- Ability to pass a 9-panel drug test (no THC) and background check (no felonies within 7 years, no violent/theft/sex-related offenses).
- Steel-toe boots required; all other PPE provided.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Pay: $18/hr + $2.10 shift premium
- Shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Some shifts follow an Off Work Week (OWW) rotation (12-hour shifts).
