Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a General Laborer to assist in various warehouse and customer service tasks at a busy metal supply company. The role involves helping the saw operator, maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse, greeting customers, loading vehicles, and making local deliveries. This is a contract-to-hire position with room for growth and training.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the saw operator and learn to operate a band saw
Measure and cut materials; must be comfortable reading a tape measure
Perform general warehouse cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, wiping down equipment)
Greet customers and load their vehicles with products
Occasionally make local deliveries (valid driver’s license required)
Lift up to 50 lbs and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Requirements:

Ability to read a tape measure accurately
Some prior warehouse experience is preferred
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a small shop environment
Steel-toe boots required; safety glasses, gloves, and masks provided
