Knock Out / Cut Out Operator (KOCO)
Location: Wickliffe, OH
Pay Rate: $18/hr + $2.10 shift premium
Pay Rate: $18/hr + $2.10 shift premium
Shifts Available:
- 8-hour shifts:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (currently Tue-Sat)
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 12-hour OWW shifts (rotating schedule):
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
About the Role
A leading manufacturer of airfoil castings for aerospace and gas turbine engines is seeking Knock Out / Cut Out Operators to join its team. This contract-to-hire position offers long-term career growth for dedicated and reliable candidates.
As a KOCO Operator, you will:
- Use a hammer/mallet to remove ceramic material from foundry molds.
- Operate an abrasive cut-off saw to reduce part size for easier handling.
- Rotate parts to ensure all material is removed according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Complete detailed production paperwork and inspect parts using an X-ray gun.
This is a physically demanding role that requires repetitive hammering and lifting up to 35 lbs regularly.
Qualifications
- 12+ months of stable Manufacturing/Industrial experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and hot/dry environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production quality standards.
- Ability to complete paperwork legibly and enter details into an ERP system.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (Birth Certificate or Passport & HS Diploma required on Day 1).
- Steel-toed boots required (all other PPE provided).
- Shift flexibility and willingness to work OT preferred.
