Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Machine Operator to operate a hydraulic press used to size and compress welded steel rings for aerospace turbine engines. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity within a family-owned company known for its stability and growth. The ideal candidate will have prior machine operation experience, preferably in the stamping or metals/steel industry, and be able to work independently with attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hydraulic press machines ranging from 150 to 1000 tons.
- Inspect parts and use measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper part sizing and quality.
- Follow all safety protocols, wearing required steel-toe boots.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous machine operation experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to long-term employment.
- Steel-toe boots required.
