? Job Opening: Machine Operator – Polishing & Production Support

? Shifts Available:
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday–Friday)
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Monday–Friday)
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday)
? Pay Rate: $18–$20/hour (based on experience and shift)
? Job Summary:
Join a small, growing team at a respected manufacturer of metering rods used in paper and label industries. You'll start in the polishing department, preparing custom-designed rods for shipment by applying a protective chemical coating for shine and corrosion resistance. As you gain experience, you may rotate into other key roles across the shop floor—supporting grinding, straightening, cutting, or etching processes.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering long-term career potential, built-in raises, and the chance to grow into more complex machine operation roles.
?️ Primary Responsibilities:
Apply chemical coatings to rods in the polishing area
Package finished rods in cardboard tubes for shipment
Assist in grinding excess debris and preparing rods
Load rods onto straightening machines for cutting
Operate the role machine to create grooves and etchings
Rotate into other departments as needed
Lift materials up to 40 lbs
Follow shop safety protocols at all times
✅ Requirements:
Machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to stand for long periods and work independently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Comfortable with math, tape measure use, and problem solving
Fluent in English (reading and writing)
Steel toe boots required
Background check and 5-panel drug screen required
