Job Description
Company Overview:
We are a small manufacturing company have been in business for over 60 years, hiring for the long term. We manufacture a unique product and have custom machinery that takes time and effort to learn.
Position Overview:
Will be working as a machine operator on a brush machine. Jobs range from short runs with many set-ups per day to 4-week production runs. Mechanical ability, familiarity with basic shop equipment (Small tools, lathe, grinder, drill press). Responsible for bringing the materials to the workstation, working off of a job ticket. Loading the brushes onto the machine (stack of 5 at a time). The metal channels will integrate to the brushes. Once the process is complete, the finished product is cut to length and brushes will get packed into boxes to be shipped out. A quick inspection will be done prior to packing. Will eventually learn how to set up machines. Need to be good with math. Max lift up to 60 lbs. Pay rate is starting around $18-$21/hr and working from 6a-2:30p.

- Operating a Brush machine
- Inspecting all brushes coming off machine
- Packing product
- Assisting in other departments
- Mechanically ability to understand how to set up jobs
Requirements:

- Organize jobs, pick materials accurately and work efficiently
- Must be comfortable in a 20 person shop
- Have the ability to stand for a long period of time and lift over 60 lbs.
- Must be good with measuring and understand math
- High school or equivalent
- Manufacturing: 2 years
- Machine Operator: 2 years
