Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate and set up drilling machines, specifically Bridgeports equipped with the Trak K3 computer system, similar to CNC machines. You will be responsible for converting raw materials into finished parts and conducting quality inspections. This role is essential to our manufacturing process.

In this role, you will operate and set up drilling machines, specifically Bridgeports equipped with the Trak K3 computer system, similar to CNC machines. You will be responsible for converting raw materials into finished parts and conducting quality inspections. This role is essential to our manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up drilling and milling machines, including vertical and horizontal Makino and Haas models.
- Follow blueprints and set up machines for short-run production (10-12 pieces per run).
- Perform inspections on finished parts using measuring devices like micrometers and calipers
- Ensure machines are operational at the start of each shift and monitor their performance throughout.
- Work collaboratively within a laid-back environment, focusing on quality rather than speed.
- Occasionally assist with other manufacturing tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a machine operator, ideally with set-up experience.
- Familiarity with mechanical operations, blueprint reading, and use of measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work overtime, including Saturdays as needed.
- Must have a good attendance record and be dependable.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift light materials.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with CNC or similar machine setups.
- Background in working with plastics or other manufacturing environments is a plus.
