Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable NDT Operator to join our team. This role involves taking radiographic images of castings, developing film, and performing airflow inspections. You will work in a team-oriented environment with a focus on safety and quality. This is a Level 1 position with the opportunity to advance to Level 2 over time. Candidates must be able to wear a dosimeter, as it tracks exposure to radiation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take radiographic (X-ray) images of castings and develop films in the processor.
- Perform specific tests, calibrations, and airflow inspections.
- Ensure all parts are processed according to the applicable Quality Engineering Instructions (QEI).
- Record work performed in the Lot Control System.
- Assist in training and provide direction to trainees as needed.
- Adhere to safety standards and wear appropriate safety gear, including steel toes and a dosimeter.
Requirements:
- Background in a manufacturing environment.
- Physically fit to stand for extended periods in a plant setting.
- Basic proficiency in computer skills and keyboarding.
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow procedures without deviation.
- High school diploma or GED required, with proof of documentation (e.g., birth certificate or passport).
- Must pass an annual eye exam.
- Strong team player with a good attendance record.
- Willingness to cross-train in other departments.
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM ($18.00/hour).
- 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 3 PM to 11 PM ($20.10/hour).
- 3rd Shift: Monday to Friday, 11 PM to 7 AM ($20.10/hour).
- Occasional "OWW" shifts (12-hour shifts, alternating days per week).
