Position Overview:
You will be operating a plastic injection molding machine. These machines use raw plastic pellets/granules that are heated up to be melted and then injected into custom molds. Once in the molds they quickly cool down and form into the appropriate pieces per the mold. The mold opens to allow for the finished pieces to be removed. These are all small pieces and parts used in all of the wire harnesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe and proficient operation of Plastic Injection machine
- Load material into machine
- Ensure die is fixed properly in the machine
- Oversee machine operations to ensure issues do not occur
- Maintain production control paperwork, checking parts for defects as they are produced
Requirements:
- 1+ year of prior plastic injection operation
- Ability to read tape measure
- Ability to read a basic blueprint
- Consistent attention to safety procedures
- Willingness to learn/cross train
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
