Position Overview:   

The Set-Up Operator will be responsible for the full set-up and production run of various sized single hit punch presses.  Duties will include press operation, visual inspection, and safety checks.   Additionally, Set-Up Operators will perform basic performance maintenance of equipment between jobs to ensure they are ready to be used for the next job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate position and alignment of dies in machines
• Produce and qualify first piece with support from QC Technician
• Set and adjust clamps, rods.  Assemble nests.
• Visually inspect parts and isolate non-conforming parts
• Ensure safety procedures are followed consistently

Requirements:

• Proven experience setting up a single hit punch press
• Ability to interpret blueprints
• Basic Quality tool proficiency - micrometers and calipers
• Experience with thinner metals (1/4" or less) highly preferred
• Basic understanding of metal types
