Job Description
Position Overview:
Join our team as a CNC Band Saw Operator, where you will work with various types of steel, processing customer orders to precise specifications. In this role, you will operate CNC band saws, handle bar stock, and ensure all products are cut, bundled, and prepared for shipment. You'll be working in a dynamic steel job shop, serving industries such as oil & gas, aerospace, and heavy construction.

You'll be working in a dynamic steel job shop, serving industries such as oil & gas, aerospace, and heavy construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC band saws to cut steel to customer-specified lengths.
- Load bar stock into machines and accurately set cutting lengths.
- Perform pre-start inspections and handle necessary machine maintenance.
- Safely move and load steel using a tow motor and overhead crane.
- Prepare finished products for shipping and support loading/unloading tasks.
- Ensure high standards of quality and precision in cutting various steel alloys.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating CNC band saws, especially in handling thick steel.
- Ability to read tape measures accurately and handle steel ranging from ½” to 26” in diameter.
- Familiarity with tow motors and overhead cranes.
- Strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, and a commitment to safety.
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must pass a health screening and drug test prior to employment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a steel job shop or related environment.
- Proficiency in operating industrial machinery and equipment.
