Job Description
Job Title: Material Handler (Tow Motor & Overhead Crane)
Location & Hours:
- Brooklyn, OH (Brookpark Road location)
- First Shift: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Pay & Employment Type:
- $19 per hour
- Contract-to-hire opportunity
Job Responsibilities:
- Load and unload steel and aluminum coil shipments in a warehouse environment
- Operate a sit-down tow motor (forklift) and overhead crane (overhead crane used approximately 80% of the time)
- Stage materials for shipping or storage
- Use a handheld scanner to log and receive incoming materials
- Keep warehouse clean and organized
- Manually lift items weighing 30–50 lbs
Qualifications:
- Solid sit-down tow motor experience required
- Willingness to train on overhead crane operation
- Good communication and reliability are essential
- Not a job hopper; must demonstrate consistent work history
- High energy, team-oriented, and dependable
- Background check and 5-panel drug screen required (no felony history accepted)
Work Environment & Culture:
- Work involves handling heavy steel coil materials, primarily for the automotive industry
- Small, tight-knit team—only two employees on-site currently
- Bi-Lingual work environment
- Training provided by senior team members
- Safety protocol reviewed on the first day
- Requires steel toe boots; long sleeve shirts and jeans recommended
