Wire Cutter – Manufacturing | Contract-to-Hire | $16/hr + Shift Differential

Position Overview

A leading contract electronics manufacturer is seeking a Wire Cutter to join its team. This role involves cutting and stripping wire using an automated wire cutting machine, ensuring precise measurements, and maintaining high-quality production standards. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with company growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate a wire cutting machine according to detailed work instructions.
Monitor machine operations and inspect wire using micrometers to ensure accuracy.
Handle wire spools weighing up to 40 lbs and maintain accurate production records.
Follow all safety regulations and adhere to strict no cell phone policies on the floor.
Work effectively with an older workforce and maintain a professional, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

12+ months of machine operation or manufacturing experience required.
Ability to read a ruler and understand basic measurements (1/16").
Blueprint reading, micrometer, and caliper knowledge preferred (training available).
Must be comfortable standing for entire shifts.
No steel-toe boots required, but closed-toe shoes, jeans, and t-shirts are appropriate.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check (case-by-case felony consideration).

Shift & Pay

First Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Second Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (+$1/hr shift differential)
Pay: $16/hr + shift differential
Breaks: 30-minute unpaid lunch + two 10-minute paid breaks
