Job Description
Company Overview:
Since 1945, we have been a manufacturer of cylinder and rotary brushes and accessories for the sanitary maintenance industry, including pad drivers, scrubbing brushes, carpet cleaning brushes, carpet bonnet systems, grit rotary brushes, brush/pad combinations, sanding drivers, clutch plates and pad centering devices. We also produces an extensive line of hand maintenance brushes for the foodservice and food processing markets. In addition, the company is able to manufacture specialty brushes for such applications as de-burring, concrete texturing, resurfacing, and polishing as well as static control.
Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Quality Manager, this position is primarily responsible for ensuring the quality of the parts and components used or created meet or exceed expectations through inspection and verification against accepted standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections on raw materials and finished goods to determine their acceptability using provided documentation.
- Types of measuring to be used includes: Calipers, Measuring Tapes, Force Meters, Torque Meters, Optical Comparator, various custom-made gauges.
- Record finished production into inventory.
- Provide Assistance to the Quality Manger for projects related to research and development, production technology and quality control as applicable.
- Maintain close working relationship with production personnel to ensure a smooth and efficient production flow of quality products.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of quality processes, statistical process control experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of GD&T.
- Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, tape measure, micrometers, go/no go gauges.
- Ability to obtain a lift truck operator certification.
- Ability to be on their feet and mobile for an eight-hour shift. This position requires a good deal of walking through the shift.
