Job Description
Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Associate (Tow Motor/Forklift)
Pay & Benefits: $19.00/hr (1st shift), $20.00/hr (2nd), $20.10/hr (3rd) — shift differentials are paid immediately on 2nd/3rd shift. Contract-to-hire path with potential for long-term placement based on performance and attendance. Quarterly profit-sharing incentive once benefit-eligible. After hire-in/eligibility: 401(k) with company match (after 30 days), medical + dental (after 60 days), 11 paid holidays (including discretionary days), paid vacation after 1 year, and life insurance.
Hours & Location: Willoughby, OH (44094). Shifts listed: 6:30am–3:00pm, 2:00pm–10:00pm, 11:00pm–7:30am. Half-hour lunch + two breaks. Scheduled workdays may change week to week based on shipping needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks/vans; stage and build loads supporting multiple plant areas
- Verify parts by weight and count, match orders to paperwork, and move material to shipping/production staging
- Operate a sit-down tow motor/forklift (training and certification provided)
- Pack and label customer orders; prepare parcel and freight shipments
- Turn in accurate incoming/outgoing shipping paperwork to the order-writing team
- Coordinate pickups/deliveries with customers and internal teams; keep workstations organized
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license
- Shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a large, warm, loud industrial environment with detailed paperwork (ISO/quality standards)
- Able to stand for long periods, lift/move materials, and wear steel-toe boots
- Strong reliability and punctuality (strict attendance expectations in the first 60 days)
