Shipping Associate (Forklift) – 1st & 3rd Shift Openings

- 1st Shift: $20.16/hour
- 3rd Shift: $21.26/hour
Position Summary
Champion Personnel is hiring Shipping Associates for a leading aerospace manufacturer in Willoughby, OH. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, offering the potential for permanent employment based on attendance, performance, and business needs. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
- Prepare UPS, FedEx, and customer shipments
- Complete shipping and receiving documentation
- Stage materials for production and customer orders
- Load customer vehicles and assist with pickups
- Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols
- Assist with general shipping department duties as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 months of warehouse, shipping, or manufacturing experience
- Forklift experience required (certification preferred)
- Ability to read work instructions and complete paperwork accurately
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- High School Diploma or GED
Schedule
Training (First Two Weeks)
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:30 PM-6:30 AM
Regular Schedule (After Training)
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 6:00 PM-6:00 AM
Rotating 2-Week Schedule
- Week 1: Work Monday & Tuesday, off Wednesday-Friday, work Saturday & Sunday
- Week 2: Off Monday & Tuesday, work Wednesday-Friday, off Saturday & Sunday
Breaks
- Two paid 10-minute breaks
- One unpaid 30-minute lunch

Work Environment
This is a physically active position in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise. Frequent forklift operation and material handling are required.
