Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Lunch: 30-minute unpaid break
Worksite: Manufacturing facility in the Garfield Heights area
Most work is indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks as needed
Pay & Employment Path
Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour
Employment Type: Contract-to-hire
This position is a long-term opportunity with raises based on attendance, performance, and skill development
Position Overview
This General Labor role supports the production of precast concrete products used throughout Northeast Ohio in public spaces, commercial properties, and infrastructure projects. Employees assist with mold preparation, concrete mixing and pouring, material handling, and staging finished products for shipment.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on role best suited for individuals who enjoy active work, working with their hands, and being part of a tight-knit production team. New hires will work alongside experienced team members and receive hands-on training across all job functions.
Job Responsibilities
Set up, clean, and prepare casting molds for production
Mix and pour concrete into molds according to process standards
Ensure concrete is evenly distributed within molds
Lift, move, and transport raw materials and finished products
Stage materials and finished goods using pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead cranes
Fill large metal containers with concrete mix as required
Tag, stack, and palletize finished products for shipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Assist with other shop duties as needed based on production demands
Required Qualifications
Ability to perform heavy physical labor throughout the entire shift
Comfortable lifting, bending, standing, and working on your feet all day
Willingness to learn processes and follow detailed instructions
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Dependable attendance and ability to work independently once trained
Preferred Background
Previous experience in concrete-related work
Familiarity with tools, measuring, material handling, or industrial environments
Interest in learning equipment operation and expanding skill sets over time
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Frequent lifting of 50+ lbs
Continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions
Comfort working in a smaller, hands-on shop environment
Dress Code & Safety
Jeans and t-shirt required
Steel-toed boots required
Safety equipment provided as needed
