Champion Personnel is hiring for a hands-on Airfoil Braze Operator position in Cleveland, OH — a trusted industry leader in precision heat treating and metal finishing. Job Overview
You’ll prepare and process metal parts for furnace brazing by cleaning, assembling, tacking, and pasting components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout each stage of production. The role involves working with brazing equipment, inspection tools, and production documentation to maintain accuracy and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare components for furnace brazing using acetone, solvents, and grinding tools.
- Apply braze paste, preforms, rings, or shims to assemblies.
- Mix braze paste to specifications and assemble parts using spot welding or fixtures.
- Inspect and log brazed assemblies per shop instructions.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection paperwork.
- Work safely and maintain cleanliness in all work areas.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and the Airfoil Braze Supervisor to ensure product compliance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or operator role.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments with heat, noise, and fumes.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
