Job Description
Maintenance Technician – First Shift
Champion Personnel is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support facility and production equipment operations. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently.
Schedule
- First Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Monday – Friday
Pay
- $25.00 – $27.00 per hour depending on skill level and experience
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and building systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance on production equipment, HVAC, and electrical systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Replace defective parts and maintain equipment functionality
- Perform general facility maintenance including minor carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs
- Maintain maintenance logs and repair records
- Monitor maintenance inventory and request parts as needed
- Respond quickly to maintenance issues to minimize production downtime
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar industrial maintenance role preferred
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Stainless Steel welding
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and hand/power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Food production or food manufacturing experience is a plus
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical training or certifications are a plus
- HVAC or electrical certifications are beneficial
