Job Description
Rubber Mill Worker – Position Overview
A Rubber Mill Worker operates machinery used to mix, process, and form raw rubber materials into usable compounds for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate rubber mills, mixers, or calenders
- Load raw materials and monitor mixing processes
- Measure, weigh, and blend rubber compounds per specs
- Inspect materials for quality and consistency
- Follow safety procedures around heavy machinery
- Perform basic machine cleaning and maintenance
- Keep production records as required
Typical Requirements
- Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Comfort working in hot, noisy environments
- Mechanical aptitude
- Attention to safety and detail
- Willingness to work shifts/overtime if needed
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior rubber, plastics, or chemical manufacturing experience
- Forklift certification
- Experience with Banbury mixers or open mills
Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday through Wednesday ? $23.88/hour
Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday ? $22.13/hour
