Press Operator
Job Description
We are looking for two press operators. One day shift and one night shift. Monday-Friday.
Day shift will be 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM to start, before evolving into a 5AM to 5PM position following training.
Night shift will be 4:00 PM to Midnight with the option to work an additional 2-4 hours of overtime. There is less flexibility on this shift, hours will have to be worked between 4:00PM and 5:00 AM.
These positions are generally $15-17/hr depending on experience. The production incentives add another $4-5/hr.
The press operator position involves running manufacturing machines (like flexographic presses) to create labels, requiring tasks such as loading materials, setting up the press, monitoring production for quality, and potentially basic maintenance, often involving fast-paced work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Setting up, operating, and monitoring presses to produce labels, including flexographic or die-cutting machines.
- Production Support: Loading raw materials, handling printed materials, and assisting with the overall production workflow.
- Quality Control: Testing inks and ensuring printed materials meet specifications.
- Maintenance: Performing basic upkeep on the printing/press machinery.
