Machine Builder – (Bedford, OH)
Pay: $25 – $29/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Our client, a leader in vibration and product durability testing systems, is seeking a hands-on Machine Builder to join our team in Bedford, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for someone mechanically inclined who enjoys building equipment, working on the shop floor, and growing their skills in a stable, team-oriented company.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Assembly: Build, assemble, position, and align small to medium-sized components into vibration test systems using hand and power tools (pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, etc.).
- Blueprint/Schematic Work: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and wiring schematics.
- Fit & Finish: Adjust parts, ensure precise fits, and verify correct component positioning.
- Basic Wiring: Perform light wiring of cables/connectors.
- Machining Support (as needed):
- Set up and operate drill presses, milling machines, and lathes.
- Work to tight tolerances and select proper feeds and speeds.
- Material Handling: Operate tow motors, lift trucks, and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the shop.
- Safety & Quality: Follow all safety guidelines and maintain high attention to detail.
Ideal Background
Candidates with experience as:
- Auto mechanics / automotive technicians
- HVAC installers or service techs
- Mechanical assemblers or equipment builders
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude – someone who has “wrenched” on cars, engines, or equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Good hand-tool and power-tool proficiency
- Reliable, with excellent attendance and work ethic
- Positive attitude, follows direction, and works well in a team
- Willingness to learn, grow, and eventually work independently
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs
- Fluent English required
