Champion Personnel is hiring a Mechanical Assembler for a growing and stable manufacturing company in Portage County! This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a company experiencing rapid growth and a strong backlog of orders.
If you enjoy hands-on work, reading blueprints, and building high-quality products, this could be the perfect fit for you!
? What You’ll Do:
- Assemble fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and enclosures
- Interpret 3D models and assembly drawings
- Use hand tools to assemble cabinet components and frames
- Install power cables and components according to design specifications
- Apply torque requirements per drawings
- Inspect parts and assemblies to meet quality standards
- Report and document any quality concerns
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- Mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment or transferable mechanical experience
- Ability to read assembly drawings and follow detailed instructions
- Comfortable using hand tools and wire crimpers
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic computer skills (email, documentation)
? Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 35 lbs
- Stand for extended periods
- Bend, squat, kneel, climb stepladders
- Good hand dexterity and vision for detailed work
? Dress Code:
Steel-toed shoes/boots, jeans, t-shirt, and safety glasses
