Set-Up Machine Operator (CNC) – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift
Location: Mentor, OH
Pay: $24–$26/hour
Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire
Schedule:
- 1st Shift (7am–3pm) – $24/hour
- 2nd Shift (3pm–11pm) – $25/hour
- 3rd Shift (11pm–7am) – $26/hour

Established manufacturer operating in a 63,000 sq. ft. facility, producing custom aluminum mechanical electrical connectors and terminal lugs used in power distribution and wiring applications. Stable, growing company with limited competition in the U.S. and long production runs.
Job Summary
We are hiring Set-Up Machine Operators to set up and operate custom, CNC-controlled Feederbar machines with up to 8 tooling stations. This is a hands-on mechanical role ideal for someone with machining experience and strong blueprint reading skills.
Responsibilities
- Set up Feederbar CNC machines (install and change tooling as needed)
- Load aluminum bars into machines
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Make machine adjustments to maintain part tolerances
- Perform quality checks in partnership with Quality Department
- Use micrometers and calipers
- Maintain equipment and ensure safe operation
Qualifications
- Prior machining or CNC setup experience required
- Strong mechanical background (CNC repair experience is a plus)
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience using micrometers and calipers
- Basic shop math skills
- Able to pass a written test (shop math, safety, machine knowledge, blueprint reading – 70% required)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand for 6+ hours per shift
- Comfortable working in hot and cold environments
- Steel toe boots required
- Must be able to read and write in English
